Gatesdirect2you was founded in 2002 by Mark Gibbs and is located on Bali, the famous paradise island of Indonesia. We have been in the wrought iron business selling firstly to Singapore and now to the worldwide market since June 2001, and we believe we are now one of the world's finest producers of wrought iron gates, fences, railings and doors. Since June 2003 we opened our carpentry workshop and specialized wood drying kiln facility, and are producing an extensive range of tropical hardwood and iron entry doors, which is unequalled anywhere.

Our management team is from the United Kingdom and the United States and our highly talented workforce of iron craftsmen is drawn from the local population. Bali is the ideal place for Gatesdirect2you, providing an excellent supply of raw materials and skilled labor, low overhead costs, and very smooth export procedures, not to mention a beautiful living environment. All of which come together to enable us to produce the highest quality wrought iron gates and other iron products at the most competitive prices you will find.
Each of our gates is actually a mix of wrought iron and cast iron. We use the traditional methods of working wrought iron - heating the iron and then bending, shaping and twisting with tongs until the desired effect is achieved. Each iron gate is its own unique creation. We do not use the prefabricated mild steel which is widely used nowadays to build gates and fencing, most of the iron that we work with is recycled or salvaged iron from old bridges and railroads, it is a low carbon iron which is much more resistant to rusting and far more durable.
The iron work is primed with a zinc phosphate primer and spray painted with an oil based semi gloss or matt finish. We can finish to most choices of color or shade.
Our doors are built using merbau wood, which is an exotic tropical hardwood- stronger and more durable than both teak and mahogany and also resistant to insect damage.
All our items come with a 6 month warranty, dated from the time of delivery to the customer. This warranty covers damages caused by defects in production and covers any errors in the size specifications. Replacements items will be sent by Gatesdirect2You at our expense under the terms of this warranty. |
